Is Jesus an angel or a mere man?
Mt. 9:18; 14:33; 15:25; 28:9, 17; 5:6; Lk. 19:37-40; 7:36-50, He receives and does not reject being worshiped by men. ‘Proskyneo’ used throughout referring to the same worship Jesus referred to when opposing Satan.
Rev. 5:11-12; 7:9-12, He receives worship from angels
Note: The NWT states ‘obeisance’ (in all but the verses in Revelation). Whereas the word worship appears for these verses in the KJV new testament. In the NWT Old Testament you often see ‘bowed down’. Both ‘obeisance’ and ‘bowed down’ mean the same in that it is a gesture showing respect, but it is not necessarily worship. Therefore the implication of the NWT is that Jesus was not worshiped, but even holy angels told those who bowed down at their feet to get up.
Note: In the KJV New Testament the word ‘obeisance’ is not used at all and there is a clear distinction between those who gave a gesture of respect (Ref., Jn. 11:32; Mk. 5:22; Lk. 17:16). However, in the KJV Old Testament ‘obeisance’ is used, yet never in reference to Jehovah. (Ref., Gen. 37:7,9; Gen. 43:28; Ex. 18:7; 2Sam. 1:2; 2Sam. 14:4; 2Sam. 15:5; 1Kg. 1:16; 2Chr. 24:17). On the other hand we do have reference to the Lord receiving worship in the KJV Old Testament (See, Dan. 7:13-14). This demonstrated the authenticity of the KJV Bible in that there is no confusion or contradiction as to who receives worship.
Who does Jehovah God say He is?

Rev. 1:8, ascribed to Jehovah in the NWT, to the Lord Jesus in the KJV
Rev. 1:11, “I AM” statement completely removed from the NWT, but present in the KJV.
Rev. 1:17-18, “I AM” statement ascribed to Jesus and maintained in both the NWT & KJV.
